About Goosedale Model Flying Club
We fly our models on a grassed field at Goosedale which is situated off Moor Road (B683) mid way between Papplewick and Bestwood in Nottinghamshire (see the Location page).

Model flying commenced at Goosedale in 1989 and shortly afterwards the ‘Goosedale Flyers’ club was established. The name was changed to Leen Valley Model Flying Club following the death of the founder of the Model Aviation Museum but has since been changed back on the request of the current members and the committee.

The site is now a private residence, and we continue to fly at Goosedale by kind permission of the owner, Mr G. Hayer.

Permitted hours of flying are between 11.00am and 5:30pm on weekdays and at weekends for i/c engines, snd between 09:00am and 8:00 pm for quiet electic flight. We fly any and every day of the year (unless otherwise notified), weather permitting!

Newcomers are welcome and training is available from qualified and approved instructors; this is bookable by appointment and free of charge. No experience necessary!

If you are interested in participating in this hobby please contact us via the Join/Contact page.

We have many members from Hucknall / Nottingham / Bestwood and surrounding areas … why not come down and join the fun?
